What the work is worth. Prosthetic limbs, ventilators, wind turbines, and the robots in a warehouse are mechanical engineering. If it moves, someone in this role made it move.
An ordinary day. Design machines, engines, robots, HVAC, and tools; analyze forces, heat, and motion; build prototypes; move designs into manufacturing.
The path in. Bachelor's in mechanical engineering.
From zero. The STEM Farm Advanced Manufacturing / Robotics / Industrial Technology track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

STEM program compatibility test for middle school students. Compatibility is measured trait by trait: each career's score says which of your traits meet the role's demands and which the role would stretch. A STEM program is a path to a career. Find the career that fits first, then the STEM Farm track that starts at zero and ends in that job with verified proof at every gate. The personality behind the work
- Spatial Reasoning. You picture three-dimensional objects, measurements, and physical forces easily.
- Practicality. You are drawn to building functional things — physical or digital — that work in the real world.
- Detail Orientation. You remember complex facts and catch small errors before they become large ones.
- Abstract & Systems Thinking. You can hold an invisible system in your head — logic flows, data moving between parts, cause and effect you cannot see.
- Collaboration. You work well inside large teams with strict deadlines and shared ownership.
- Persistence. You keep going through hours of troubleshooting. A problem that refuses to yield is a reason to stay, not a reason to leave.
- Curiosity. You want to find the hidden pattern in raw numbers. A pile of data is a mystery you want to solve.
