What the work is worth. How many nurses on a shift, where an ambulance waits, how food reaches a shelter — operations research decides with math what used to be guessed.
An ordinary day. Model complex decisions — routing, scheduling, staffing, supply — with optimization and simulation, then recommend the best option and defend it.
The path in. Bachelor's in operations research, math, engineering, or analytics; master's common.
From zero. The STEM Farm Data / Analytics / AI Operations track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

STEM profession path for veterans. A path has a start, a direction and a destination. The assessment gives the direction, the career pages the destination, and the STEM Farm track the start at zero. A profession is a career you stay in. The assessment measures the traits that make the daily work sustainable — not whether you can pass the first class, but whether you will still want the work at year ten. Service builds composure, meticulousness and collaboration on hard deadlines — three of the fifteen traits measured. See which careers run on what you already have.
