What the work is worth. Insulin pumps, artificial joints, and the sensors on a hospital monitor are biomedical engineering. This is where engineering directly extends a human life.
An ordinary day. Design medical devices, implants, imaging systems, and diagnostic tools; test them against biological reality; work with clinicians to make them usable.
The path in. Bachelor's in biomedical engineering or another engineering field with a biology foundation.
From zero. The STEM Farm Healthcare / Clinical Support / Medical Technology track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

STEM pathway aptitude test. Aptitude tests measure what you can do under a clock. STEM Compass measures what you would keep doing on a Saturday with nobody watching — the enjoyment that turns into skill. A pathway has a start, a direction and a destination. The assessment gives the direction; the career pages give the destination; the STEM Farm track gives the start.

- Meticulousness. You record exact notes and follow strict procedures without being told to.
- Collaboration. You work well inside large teams with strict deadlines and shared ownership.
