What the work is worth. Prosthetic limbs, ventilators, wind turbines, and the robots in a warehouse are mechanical engineering. If it moves, someone in this role made it move.
An ordinary day. Design machines, engines, robots, HVAC, and tools; analyze forces, heat, and motion; build prototypes; move designs into manufacturing.
The path in. Bachelor's in mechanical engineering.
From zero. The STEM Farm Advanced Manufacturing / Robotics / Industrial Technology track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

STEM fields explorer for high school students. Exploration without a map is wandering. The assessment gives you the map — trait profile, impact profile, top families, top careers, and the ordinary day of each. Eight STEM fields, eight trait signatures. The assessment scores you on all fifteen traits and shows which fields are already yours before you commit to a major or a program. High school is early enough to choose classes and late enough that a working style is already visible.

The personality behind the work
- Spatial Reasoning. You picture three-dimensional objects, measurements, and physical forces easily.
- Practicality. You are drawn to building functional things — physical or digital — that work in the real world.
- Detail Orientation. You remember complex facts and catch small errors before they become large ones.
- Abstract & Systems Thinking. You can hold an invisible system in your head — logic flows, data moving between parts, cause and effect you cannot see.
- Collaboration. You work well inside large teams with strict deadlines and shared ownership.
- Persistence. You keep going through hours of troubleshooting. A problem that refuses to yield is a reason to stay, not a reason to leave.
- Curiosity. You want to find the hidden pattern in raw numbers. A pile of data is a mystery you want to solve.
