What the work is worth. The power grid, medical devices, electric vehicles, and every phone in every pocket are electrical engineering. This work is the nervous system of the modern world.
An ordinary day. Design circuits, power systems, sensors, and control systems; build and test prototypes; diagnose why a system does not behave as designed.

Programming career path for high school students. A path has a start, a direction and a destination. The assessment gives the direction, the career pages the destination, and the STEM Farm track the start at zero. Programming rewards the person who tries a sixth way after the fifth failed. It also rewards detail, procedure and comfort with a defined right answer. High school is early enough to choose classes and late enough that a working style is already visible.

The personality behind the work
- Abstract & Systems Thinking. You can hold an invisible system in your head — logic flows, data moving between parts, cause and effect you cannot see.
- Practicality. You are drawn to building functional things — physical or digital — that work in the real world.
- Detail Orientation. You remember complex facts and catch small errors before they become large ones.
- Spatial Reasoning. You picture three-dimensional objects, measurements, and physical forces easily.
- Persistence. You keep going through hours of troubleshooting. A problem that refuses to yield is a reason to stay, not a reason to leave.
- Numbers & Data Affinity. You like living in numbers, tables, and measurements; quantitative work feels natural.
- Meticulousness. You record exact notes and follow strict procedures without being told to.
