What the work is worth. Hospitals, city governments, and companies waste enormous effort on systems that do not fit their work. An analyst makes the technology serve the mission instead of the other way around.
An ordinary day. Study how an organization uses its computer systems, find what is slow or broken, design improvements, and work with both business and technical teams to put them in.
The path in. Bachelor's in computer or information science; business knowledge is a strong second skill.
From zero. The STEM Farm Software / Web / QA / Automation track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

The personality behind the work
- Communication. You can turn a complex finding into a clear story for people who do not share your training.
- Collaboration. You work well inside large teams with strict deadlines and shared ownership.
- Abstract & Systems Thinking. You can hold an invisible system in your head — logic flows, data moving between parts, cause and effect you cannot see.
- Skepticism. You question whether the data is accurate, complete, or biased before you trust any conclusion.
- Detail Orientation. You remember complex facts and catch small errors before they become large ones.
- Adaptability. New tools, new languages, new rules do not throw you. You expect the ground to move and you enjoy relearning.
