What the work is worth. Every drug approval, census count, and election poll is only as honest as its statistician. This role is the guardian of whether a claim is true.
An ordinary day. Design studies and surveys, decide how much data is enough, analyze results with rigorous methods, and report what can and cannot be concluded.
The path in. Master's in statistics or mathematics is typical; bachelor's for some entry roles.
From zero. The STEM Farm Data / Analytics / AI Operations track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

The personality behind the work
- Skepticism. You question whether the data is accurate, complete, or biased before you trust any conclusion.
- Numbers & Data Affinity. You like living in numbers, tables, and measurements; quantitative work feels natural.
- Meticulousness. You record exact notes and follow strict procedures without being told to.
- Detail Orientation. You remember complex facts and catch small errors before they become large ones.
- Patience. You accept that real proof takes months or years of testing, and you can wait for it.
- Communication. You can turn a complex finding into a clear story for people who do not share your training.
- Abstract & Systems Thinking. You can hold an invisible system in your head — logic flows, data moving between parts, cause and effect you cannot see.
