What the work is worth. Weather satellites, air ambulances, and the rockets that carry science into orbit exist because aerospace engineers made them fly safely.
An ordinary day. Design aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles; run simulations and tests; analyze failures; work inside large multi-discipline teams on long programs.
The path in. Bachelor's in aerospace or mechanical engineering; security clearance often required.
From zero. The STEM Farm Engineering Technology / CAD / Civil / Construction Tech track starts at zero-STEM intake and ends in this kind of work, with verified proof at every gate.

Computer science career path for high school students. A path has a start, a direction and a destination. The assessment gives the direction, the career pages the destination, and the STEM Farm track the start at zero. Computer science splits into software, systems, security and research the moment you leave school. Each rewards a different balance of persistence, abstraction, detail and adaptability. High school is early enough to choose classes and late enough that a working style is already visible.

The personality behind the work
- Spatial Reasoning. You picture three-dimensional objects, measurements, and physical forces easily.
- Practicality. You are drawn to building functional things — physical or digital — that work in the real world.
- Collaboration. You work well inside large teams with strict deadlines and shared ownership.
- Detail Orientation. You remember complex facts and catch small errors before they become large ones.
- Meticulousness. You record exact notes and follow strict procedures without being told to.
- Abstract & Systems Thinking. You can hold an invisible system in your head — logic flows, data moving between parts, cause and effect you cannot see.
- Patience. You accept that real proof takes months or years of testing, and you can wait for it.
- Numbers & Data Affinity. You like living in numbers, tables, and measurements; quantitative work feels natural.
